Albility Planning
The “Al” in “Albility” comes from the Dutch word meaning “all,” or “every.”
Why Dutch? Because of the brilliant poem authored by Emily Perl Kingsley, entitled “Welcome To Holland,” which illustrates the beautiful and unexpected story of parents / caregivers to loved ones with a disability or special needs.
MISSION
To empower families of all abilities to live their potential, by helping them to navigate the complexities of disability and special needs planning with confidence.
VISION
No family should ever feel alone in this journey! We are committed to helping parents and caregivers find not just stability, but fulfillment and joy in the journey.
Professionally
My career started at a large investment management firm, followed by a large insurance firm. While both firms are well respected, I became attune to the world of “independent advice,” regardless of portfolio size or insurance quotas.
Through my experiences raising a child with special needs, I continue to gain a deep, personal understanding of the challenges and triumphs faced by families like mine. I share the desire to provide the best life possible for every member of the family, including caregivers. This personal experience, combined with my professional expertise in financial planning, inspired me to build Albility Planning.
In conjunction with my professional work, I serve on various advisory boards, including Utah Parent Center, the Utah Rare Disease Advisory Council (RDAC), TURN Community Services, and Rare Parenting. I’m so grateful to serve and learn with incredible advocates in our community.
Personally
I’m probably a lot like you.
I’m a proud husband.
I’m a girl dad.
I’m an adoption and disability / special needs dadvocate.
My sports teams fill me with excitement but hurt me consistently (life of a BYU fan).
We are foodies.
We are boaters.
We are proud to be part of the disability and special needs community.
We love volunteering and advocating with the many local non-profit organizations around us.
We believe the person is so much more than the disability this life has imposed upon them.
